Each stage of a child’s life needs specific nutrients to help them grow healthy and strong. Habits from childhood can last a lifetime. It is easy to find nutrition advice in the media and the internet, but how can you know if it is safe and accurate?

As Registered Dietitians, we assess your children’s diet and ensure that they meet their nutrient, vitamin, and mineral needs to support proper growth and development and prevent deficiencies for each stage of childhood.

We dedicate ourselves to the well-being and overall health of infants, children, and adolescents. We encourage a positive relationship with food and an enjoyable eating environment without focusing solely on caloric intake or weight as determining factors of health status. Instead, we take a whole-foods, whole-child approach and provide parents with the strategies and tools to support their children, helping them form and sustain healthy eating habits that last a lifetime.

Feeding children is not easy, and every family is different and has its own story. To help you reach your child’s goal, we will work together to create a practical plan based on research that considers your family’s lifestyle and your child’s food preferences while also ensuring that they meet their nutritional needs!

Are you stressed at mealtime?

Are you bribing and begging your child so they will try a new food or finish what is on their plate? Do you work so hard making meals only to have your toddler or kid refuse to eat the food? You CAN make changes and help your child eat without all the pressure and anxiety and without becoming a short-order cook.

If you have a picky eater, you are not alone! A recent meta-analysis estimated that 22% of children over 30 months of age are picky eaters, meaning 1/5th of families experience this feeding issue. In cases of extreme picky eating, failure-to-thrive or Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) can ensue.  There are many reasons that a child becomes a picky eater. We always tell our parents that each family is different and everyone has their own story. With so many possible contributing factors, it is imperative to look at the whole picture.

What's important to know is that it is absolutely possible to have peaceful family meals without pressure, bribing, or feeling totally stressed out!
